COMMUNITY TRAFFIC NOTICE
Hello, LAKE ZURICH and Hawthorn Woods RESIDENTS :
The following pertains to Sunday morning, JULY 14th between 7 AM - 10:30 AM

The 2019 ET Lake Zurich Triathlon will take place on Sunday, July 14th, 2019. This year marks the largest participation level we have ever had for this event.

Athletes compete in a race of 3 endurance events, they will swim in Lake Zurich, Ride a bike course around the Lake Zurich area roads, and Run a 2 loop route around the Lake Zurich Waterfront.

As safety for participants and volunteers is a primary focus, there will be temporary restrictions in place that will impact area roads with closures and delays. For the bike course, traffic impact will primarily occur between 7:00 am and 9:30 am. See below for temporary closures...


PLEASE USE EXTREME ATTENTION WHILE DRIVING ON THE LISTED ROADS.

Temporary Closures / Restrictions:

- Westbound Old McHenry Rd from Fairfield Rd to Echo Lake Rd. Please use Westbound Milton Rd. to Access Rt. 12 or you can use Eastbound Old McHenry Rd.

- However, Eastbound Old McHenry will not be accessible from Rt. 12.

- Eastbound Milton Rd from Rt. 12 to Fairfield Rd. Please use Westbound Milton Rd. to Access Rt. 12 or you can use Eastbound Old McHenry Rd.

- Southbound Fairfield Rd from Milton Rd. to Old McHenry Rd. Please use Westbound Milton Rd. to Access Rt. 12 or Midlothian Rd.

- Northbound Fairfield Rd between Milton Rd and Schwerman Rd. Please use Midlothian Rd as an alternate.

- Eastbound Schwerman Rd between Fairfield Rd and Milton Rd. Please use Gilmer Rd to Schwerman Rd as an alternate.

- Southbound Echo Lake Rd between Old McHenry Rd and Church St. Northbound Echo Lake Rd will be open to traffic.

- Southbound Church St from Echo Lake Rd to Main St. Please use Oakwood to access Rt. 22 and downtown Lake Zurich.

- Westbound Main St. from Church St. to Rt. 22.

- Southbound Old Rand Rd from Rt. 12 to Main St. Please use Northbound Old Rand Rd.

- Whitney Drive - There will be both runners and cyclists traveling from Rt. 22 to Paulus Park. Please use caution.
